KC Wallace, formally known as Kimberly, is originally from Severn, Md. She graduated from Clark Atlanta University in 1996. After working in corporate America for five years, KC earned her special education teaching license, from State University of West Georgia, and began a career in education with Dekalb County School System in GA. After a family move in 2008, she began teaching with Durham Public Schools in Durham, North Carolina. KC has been a special education teacher, facilitator and coordinator, for the school district. In 2016, KC transitioned from the Exceptional Children's department and for the last five years she has used her experience, to mentor and coach beginning teachers. Kimberly is a wife and mother of three boys, which include a teenager and a set of ten year-old twins.
Mason's World: The Best Friend Maze, is KC's debut book. She has learned that as children get older, their friendship definitions change. KC hopes that this book will help conversations about the friendship. How they develop, grow, and sometimes need to change.
